OCD

I often see clients who suffer from OCD. This distressing disorder can take over a person's life, and can in extreme circumstances, lead to a complete loss of any functionality.

I help clients to identify the beliefs that lie behind their OCD by looking at when it started, what was happening at that time, how that affected them. In a lot of cases, OCD is triggered by one or more events in the client's life that have not been fully dealt with. I assist clients to look at their past, to help them through the anxiety that the past brings into the future, and then on to find a suitable recovery.

Part of the recovery is looking at ways to help in the present, to reduce the anxiety that not carrying out the ritual often brings.

If you have OCD (in whatever form), and would like to talk about ways to help, please let me know.
